Journey with Jan

Sometimes when you want something so much, you think God should give it to you.  Praying for your desires is not like picking the right numbers and finding out that you have won or lost, depending on how earnestly you prayed.  No, God gives us according to His plan; at the right moment, at the right place, for the right purpose.  God is not the lottery.  If you focus on what God needs from you rather than what you need from God, your desires become His perfect plan for your life. 

The journey began for me when I learned to let God by the guide.  For some reason at times I often get side tracked go down what I think might be an interesting road because it is enticing, but I soon find out that it is full of bumps and pot holes and I should be there.  I want to go down the road that God has paved for me.  Journey with me as I find the right highway and hopefully that the journey will be more than a metaphor.
